2008 IANTD training dates with Rich Stevenson at Deep Blue

All our training courses start in Fresh Water quarries and to find out why please click on the 'why train with us' page in this section of the website.
This means we start in either Vobster Quay or NDAC at Chepstow and then complete in Plymouth from the hard boat 'Seeker'. This also allows us to compelete the training whatever the weather as we simply stay put in the Quarries if the weather on the Coast is unsuitable for diving.
Of all the places in the World that we have worked in the only location that guarantees 100% completion is the UK. With this in mind all our 2009 training will be done here in England.

We tend to avoid starting in Stoney Cove only because it's so far from the Sea that completing the training in a 'real' environment is made much more difficult.
However if you prefer to complete CCR Module 1 training in Stoney Cove and / or Dosthill we can arrange this for you if you email us with your request.

With this in mind we are trying to be more organised with our training dates for 2008 and the fixed dates below reflect this situation.

This said we will always try and be flexible where possible, in particular if you are booking 2 or more places on a course, so email or call us first if there is nothing you see below that works for your plans.

Rich runs all the training courses personally and if there are 3 students on a course then he is assisted by either Mike Potts or Sean McTierney both of whom are certified IANTD Trimix Instructors and CCR Inspiration Instructors in training.

Please note that the legal maximum number of Students we can take on a course is 4 and is limited to 3 for Cave Training. This is an IANTD Standard and cannot be changed.

2008 has been our busiest and most enjoyable year ever so far, so thanks to everyone who has made it successful for us and we hope you have enjoyed your training.

Listed below are our courses that have divers booked on with available spaces for the remainder of the year.
If you don't see the exact dates you want please email us but we don't have massive flexibility left this year sorry.

26th-30th November for a CCR Module 1 course starting in Vobster and completing in Plymouth on Seeker. 1 space left

2nd - 5th December for our last CCR Normoxic Course this year starting in Vobster quarry and completing in Plymouth on Seeker 3 spaces left

6th December for CCR Try dives in a 4m deep heated pool.

11th-15th December for our last CCR Module 1 course this year starting in Vobster and completing in Plymouth 3 spaces left

2009 training dates

Weds 14th- Sun 18th January for a Mod 1 CCR course starting in Vobster and completing in Plymouth

Weds 21st - Fri 23rd January for a 3 day Advanced Nitrox Course in Vobster Quarry

Weds 25th-Sun 28th Feb for a CCR mod 1 training course starting in Vobster and completing in Plymouth.

31st January for CCR try dives in Stoney Cove in their 4m deep pool. This will also run on the Sunday once the Saturday is fully booked.

Lanzarote CCR module 1 training dates will start on Thursday 12th March as flights are very cheap right now and the UK water temperature will be at it´s coldest, email us for more information and prices please.

Mon 23rd-Fri 27th March for CCR training in Stoney Cove, brrr!!

Weds 15th- Sun 19th April for a CCR training course starting in Vobster and completing in Plymouth.

Sat 2nd-Fri 8th May and also Sat 16th-Fri 22nd May for 2 seperate CCR Mod 1 training weeks in the Scillies onboard Loyal Watcher.
Whilst these weeks do make CCR training more expensive, the amount of extra in water and evening theory time we have available by living onboard is invaluable.

Weds 10th-Sun 14th June for CCR Module 3 training starting in NDAC and completing in Plymouth.

Sat 18th-Fri 31st July for 2 seperate weeks onboard Loyal Watcher in Malin Head for CCR Normoxic Trimix training and individual trained divers.

French Cave training in 2009 will take place in the Dordogne and Lot Valleys ìn June next year.
We have taken bookings already for Intro and CCR Cave courses and the exact dates will be posted here by the end of October.

Another service that we are now offering is 1:1 training at your timescale and pace. Whilst more expensive I have found that students progress better within the normal training time scale and for those of you with busy schedules there are no cancellation fees should you not be able to make a particular day.
